Darkweb Market Ledger exists to document darknet marketplaces, onion services, and the enforcement actions that dismantle them — archival reporting, market histories, and analysis of the trust and escrow mechanics that hold these ecosystems together. That work depends on respecting the intellectual property of others, and we will act on every notice that meets the statutory bar set by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Where to Send Your Notice

Correspondence for {site_name} goes to our designated copyright agent at {contact_email}. Please mark the subject line “DMCA Notice” so it lands in the correct queue rather than the editorial inbox. This address handles copyright matters only; corrections, source material, and general inquiries belong elsewhere on the site.

Elements of a Compliant Takedown Request

To be actionable under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), a notice must carry all six of the following. Missing any one of them may force us to return the request unprocessed.

1. Identification of the protected work. Describe the copyrighted material you say is being infringed; if a single notice covers several works, a representative list is acceptable.
2. Identification of the disputed material and its location. Give us the specific URL where the material sits on this site — a full address, not a general description of the topic area.
3. Your contact information. Full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and an email address where we can reach you.
4. A good faith statement. A declaration that you believe in good faith the use you object to is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement under penalty of perjury. A declaration that the notice is accurate and that you own the rights at issue or are empowered to act for the owner.
6. Your signature. A physical or electronic signature will suffice.

If Your Material Was Removed

Should we take down a page you posted and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with the same agent. Identify what was removed and where it appeared, supply your contact details, state under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was pulled in error, and consent to the jurisdiction of a federal district court for your address — or, if you are outside the United States, for any judicial district where this site may be found — agreeing to accept service of process. We forward qualifying counter-notices to the original complainant and may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days unless we are told a court action has been filed.

Our Response Window

Complete notices are reviewed and answered in 5 to 10 business days, occasionally a day or two longer when a claim requires verification of ownership records. We may disable access to the identified material while the review is underway. Nothing here concedes that any particular use on this site is infringing.
